Tony Schulhoff - Consulting Services DirectorTony Schulhoff joined MSS in 2005 in a Project Manager role for the Oracle JD Edwards services team. Today, he is Consulting Services Director. In addition to his responsibility of ensuring project quality, Tony oversees project status, acts as a liaison for clients with ongoing projects, and participates in pre-sales activities. With more than seven years of JD Edwards application, technical, and project management experience, Tony works hand-in-hand with clients to help them achieve their goals while building strong, long-lasting professional relationships. Embracing flexibility to align to the clients' strengths and enhanced performance. "We're currently working with a large soda bottling manufacturer; we've actually been working together for more than five years now. The client initially engaged MSS just for the implementation of the Oracle JD Edwards Financial and Accounts Payable modules. But since then – as part of our continuous process improvement work with them – we've helped implement the Manufacturing, Distribution, Transportation, and Fixed Assets modules as well. Now, we're working to implement JD Edwards in their sales centers and warehouse. "So part of our role is really collaborating with the client to recognize and leverage process improvement opportunities. For example, the client is currently looking at how they might change production processes to leverage real-time information and increase the cost-effectiveness of their operations. We're always looking at how we can use their existing JD Edwards ERP system to make those kinds of improvements. "The client runs the leanest organization of any company I've worked with. Everybody there is very busy most of the time, which does pose a unique change management challenge. Fortunately, we have a very open, collaborative, one-on-one sort of relationship where everyone really understands the role they play in making these process improvements and system enhancements happen. The client recognizes that when they're really busy focusing on core work, we're flexible enough to back off – or to go work on projects in other areas where people aren't quite so busy.
